Enactus United States 2019 Leader of the Year Awards

The purpose of the Leader of the Year Awards is to motivate and reward excellence in leadership while sharing best practices with the network.

Our winners will be selected by how clearly their leadership has positively impacted their team.    

The “Student Leaders of the Year Award” will recognize 5 leadership categories:
  • Executive Leader  
  • Membership Leader  
  • Project Leader 
  • Marketing Leader 
  • Finance Leader 
Please read the descriptions of each leadership category; regardless of your specific title, if you're a leader, you could fit within one of these 5 categories.

Executive Leader of the Year Nomination
  
Executive Leader: has significantly impacted the overall sustainability, strategy, culture, and development of members and projects.  While this is typically the President, anyone on the team could qualify based on their impact on the team.

     
Please share the top 3 measures of outcome that can be largely attributed to their leadership this year. (for instance: 3 new projects successfully launched, 20 new members recruited and retained, 2 new faculty advisers)







You will be given the opportunity to share examples of their work on the next page.
Membership Leader of the Year Nomination
    
Membership Leader: has significantly impacted one or more of the areas of recruitment, engagement, leadership development, team succession, and culture building.  While this is typically a VP of Membership, VP of HR, or VP of Engagement, anyone on the team could qualify based on their outcomes.

    
Please share the top 3 measures of outcomes that can be largely attributed to their leadership this year. (for instance: 30 new members recruited, retention increased by more than 50%, 2 new courses that integrate Enactus projects)










You will be given the opportunity to share examples of their work on the next page.
Project Leader of the Year
   
Project Leader: has significantly impacted a specific project or a portfolio of projects (i.e. by managing a team of project leaders).  While this would typically be a Project Manager or VP of Projects, anyone on the team can qualify based on their impacts.

   
Please share the top 3 measures of outcomes that can be largely attributed to their leadership this year. (for instance: $2500 new income generation from project, 3 new project managers trained, 17 community members certified with training program)







You will be given the opportunity to share examples of their work on the next page.
Marketing Leader of the Year 
   
Marketing Leader: has significantly impacted one or more of the following areas: internal or external communications, social media, graphic design, advertising, script writing, annual report design, audio-visual design. While this would typically be a VP of Marketing or Secretary, anyone on the team can qualify based on their outcomes.

   
Please share the top 3 measures of outcomes that can be largely attributed to their leadership this year. (for instance: new social media campaign increased engagement by 30%, marketing campaign helped recruit 15 new members, 100 alumni engaged with new monthly newsletter)









You will be given the opportunity to share examples of their work on the next page.
Finance Leader of the Year
    
Finance Leader: has significantly impacted one or more of the following areas: fundraising, budget management, income generation, institutional financial support. While this would typically be a VP of Finance or Treasurer, anyone on the team can qualify based on their impacts.

    
Please share the top 3 measures of outcomes that can be largely attributed to their leadership this year. (for instance: secured $1000 in new funding from business school sponsorship, received a $2500 local development grant, raised $750 from dodge ball tournament)







You will be given the opportunity to share examples of their work on the next page.

Please use this section to share additional information to help support your nomination.  While none of these resources are required, they will be utilized by the judges to help support their evaluation.   


  
In the spirit of collaboration and best practice sharing, we encourage teams to share insights into their process / activity / training as it relates to the nomination.  Such resources can help provide our judges with more clarity and insight into the team's utilization of best practices. 

By sharing these resources with Enactus, you are agreeing to "open source" your materials with the network.  Enactus may reference these materials as we develop future training such as webinars and other resources.
